What is Mini Titans

Mini Titans is a character-building program that uses entrepreneurship as a powerful tool to instill essential life skills.

Here’s why we chose entrepreneurship:

  1. Resilience Through Challenge: Entrepreneurship is tough, and it provides kids the chance to experience failure and learn how to bounce back stronger, smarter, and more capable. This skill builds a foundation for self-reflection and personal growth, empowering the next generation to continuously improve themselves.

  2. A Path to Abundance: Living a life of abundance starts with a deep connection to oneself. Entrepreneurship challenges individuals to rise to the occasion, testing their ability to adapt, persevere, and thrive key traits for creating a fulfilling and prosperous life.

Our Humble Beginnings.

It all started in the Spring of 2022. I had just accepted that my tourism business that we started 7 years earlier was finally unsavable. I was debating the next steps for my life and what I wanted. I wasn't clear, of the new direction. This last failure in business was really painful to my confidence and self-worth. I realized that I didn't know how to pick myself up from failure, even worse I felt like a failure. As I was struggling with my new reality two small wonderful people asked me a question that would change my direction.

We were sitting around the kitchen table my wife and two kids. As we ate our dinner my kids asked me "Dad how do you make money?" My son had just turned 6 and my daughter was 4. As I looked at their bright eyes waiting for my response. I didn't want to say you can work for someone, I wanted to give them the option to understand both dynamics of being an employee or building a business. The problem was I had no idea how I could explain building a business to young kids. As I stared looking back at them I responded "why don't I show you how to make money". They both agreed so we got to work figuring out what we were going to do. We came up with the traditional lemonade stand however I wanted to teach them work ethic so we hand pressed the lemons and oranges. We then planned out the recipe and tested and planned and tested. Until we found the perfect tasting lemonade.

I had my kids negotiate for us to set up a spot in a high traffic area outside. They also had to negotiate the price of the fruit to get a better deal. On sale day it was raining and cold, this was our only day we were permitted to sell and so we were forced by mother nature to pivot. After talking with the store manager we were allowed to set up shop inside. The kids job was to talk with every customer that walked through the door. As customers walked in they were greeted by two young kids saying "Hello!, How is your day?" We worked on their pitch so that no matter the answer to that question we could either add to their wonderful day with lemonade or lemonade could be used as a way to recharge and get back to life's challenges.

After 5 hours off selling the kids made over $300. With this money they had buy something for that immediate satisfaction, save some for their future education and donate some back to charity. This is still our founding principles.

My success came from the kids begging me to do it every summer.

About

My name is Mike Mammel

We often hear the tales of entrepreneurs who revolutionize industries, create groundbreaking products, and achieve unimaginable wealth. But Mike Mammel’s story is different. His journey isn’t about instant success or overnight fame it’s about resilience, self-discovery, and a relentless drive to make a difference.

Mike’s story begins quietly. In junior high and high school, he was the kid who blended into the background, observing the world from the sidelines. But that wasn’t always the case. In elementary school, Mike was chosen to play a lead role in a mock court trial a testament to his confidence and popularity at the time. However, as the years went on, he retreated into his shell, becoming the quiet kid who didn’t want to stand out. By the time he graduated high school, he had no clear path forward. All he knew was that he didn’t want to stay invisible any longer.

Desperate to break free from his quiet persona, Mike stumbled upon a newspaper ad promising big money selling an irresistible product. Intrigued, he attended the training seminar and discovered the product was... a vacuum. Not just any vacuum, though a sleek, silver machine with a magnesium shell, neoprene hose, and rubber bumpers that made it look almost glamorous.

Mike dove headfirst into the world of sales, learning how to build rapport, overcome objections, and close deals. But there was a catch: much of what he was taught involved bending the truth. Slowly, he began to see sales as a game where lying was just a part of the strategy. He tested boundaries, seeing how far he could push customers before they kicked him out of their homes. Despite becoming the top salesperson for three months, the dream of wealth and success remained just that a dream. Mike was broke. His car was falling apart, and he couldn’t afford to fix it. Eventually, his parents offered him a way out: they’d repair the car, but they’d take ownership of it. With no vehicle, Mike’s vacuum-selling days came to an end.

This failure, however, wasn’t the end it was the beginning. The resilience Mike developed during those tough times opened doors to new opportunities. He landed a job in sales and marketing, where he discovered a passion for crafting messages and strategies that resonated with people. Determined to sharpen his skills, he went to college, and after graduating, he took a bold step: he started his own marketing company.

But running a business wasn’t as glamorous as he had imagined. The phone didn’t ring off the hook. Clients weren’t lining up for his creative guerrilla marketing ideas. The reality of entrepreneurship hit hard late nights, sacrificed weekends, and relentless effort. With the support of his soon-to-be wife, Mike persevered, but as his responsibilities at work grew, the dream of his marketing company faded. The comfort of a steady job felt easier than the grind of entrepreneurship.

Then came the moment that changed everything. One day, while wandering through a Canadian Tire store, Mike couldn’t find what he was looking for. Frustrated by the lack of assistance, he walked out empty-handed. As he left, a thought struck him: how many times had stores lost sales because customers, like him, walked out in frustration? And how would those stores even know?

That moment sparked an idea, and it cemented a belief that would shape Mike’s future: pain points create opportunities. The things that frustrate us, the problems we face these are the seeds of innovation. But more importantly, how we choose to solve those problems defines who we are.

Mike’s journey from a quiet observer to a resilient entrepreneur has taught him that success isn’t about the product or the profit. It’s about the process. It’s about teaching others to embrace failure, develop resilience, and find their own solutions. That’s why he founded Mini Titans to empower the next generation with the tools, values, and confidence they need to tackle life’s challenges head-on. Because in the end, every struggle is an opportunity to grow, and every failure is a step toward success.
